2.Hilda Montaire ( Flowers by the wayside)
(born April 13, 1922) is a Filipino writer who often uses the pseudonym Rosa Montes. She considers fellow Cebuana writer Maria Kabigon to be a major influence.
Born in Mandaue, Cebu City, Montaire studied at the Colegio de la Immaculada Concepcion in Cebu City, where she edited Blue and White, the CIC school paper, Far Eastern University and the University of Santo Tomas, Manila.
Montaire began writing at an early age. Her career took off after World War II when her short stories and serialized novels were published in Bisaya magazine. Her novel Ikaduhang Sugo was published by E. Q. Cornejo and Sons in 1971.
Montaire worked at numerous radio stations and was at one time the host of “Ang Mga Tambag ni Inday Loling,” an advice program.

was born in the city of Tangub in Misamis Occidental . Was a multi-awarded author of the Binisaya , Tinagalog and Iningles.

5.Temistockles Adlawan (Fisherman)
is a contemporary Cebuano poet who often writes with irreverent humor usually associated with Cebuano folk. Some of his writings expresses a greater sensitivity to gender issues.
He is a Bathalan-ong Halad sa Dagang (BATHALAD) member and is active in writers' workshops sponsored by the Women in Literary Arts (WILA) and the Cebuano Studies Center of the University of San Carlos, Cebu City.

(born March 7, 1948) is a Regional Trial Court Executive Judge in Cebu City, The Philippines, and a published poet. He once studied for the priesthood in Galway, Ireland, but left the seminary to take up law. After years of practicing law, he was appointed Regional Trial Court judge in Cebu. He won prizes for his poetry, which he has published and read abroad.
9.Vicente Sotto ( The Pulahan )
Author of The Sotto Law,The Press Freedom Law,RA 53) (1877-1950) was a former Senator of the Philippines, and considered as one of the greatest Cebuanos of the 20th century. His principal achievement lies in two areas: (1) law, politics, and government; and (2) culture and letters.
Senator Vicente Yap Sotto is considered one of the Unsung Heroes of the Philippines. 10.Marcel m. Navarra (the Awakening)
